Fare thee well!!

Saturday saw us officially being kicked out of college (at the end of the course). The juniors hosted our farewell. Personally speaking, it was more of a trip down memory lane. Aaaaargh!! Did I just say memory lane? What'd I say five or ten years from now?

Anyways, farewell went well. A bit dull on the culturals and the food, but otherwise a job well done. In fact, they (the juniors) got an album of our best moments with some hilarious captions; and they put up a slideshow with a little description of each of us as we went to receive our mementoes.

By the way, someone who reads my blog asked me to get a life and write about stuff outside office as well. Critiscm accepted, can and will do.

Outbreak

We went on our first company trip to a resort on Saturday. It would be a monstrosity to call it a company outing - it was just the people from our floor, 16 in number. The resort had it all- a pool, indoor games, a gym, a volleyball court, a cricket field, beer, a pool, beer and then a pool(you'd think I was high on beer, but 'tis lent people, lent!!) and swings for the ladies.

I didnt get into the pool as I was running a temperature, but just about all the others did. Its kinda difficult to comprehend, but I dont think water goes into Barnabas's hair, at least it seems so.

The project is nearing completion, and we've been asked to carry out our presentation in college.

Creative Thinking!!

Nothing much to write home about this week. We're close to completing our projects, hopefully. We're now going through the server part.

All of us were at the cafeteria the other day, discussing about how much life has changed, and also about the boom in the IT industry, when Neil remarked that we'd be completing one year in the industry three months after we officially complete our MCA course. To put it in another way, we'll have one year of experience when our junior's placements are going on. I knew that we'd have one year of experience in November 2006, but never looked at it this way.

Three cheers for creativity!!!

Going live!!

We've got news: Sajeed, our PM's leaving to start out something new (he hasnt specified what) and Krishnan now steps into his shoes. And guess what, we've been moved from our current projects; we're gonna be put into live projects. Whew!! That was just three months of project work, out of which one month was leave; and then all of a sudden, stuff starts happening.

So far so good. We'll kick off live projects in two weeks. By the way, here's news for PETA activists: some relative of that dead squirrel's taken his place at the office. Not only will he scamper all over Barnabas and Neil, he'll bring back memories of Neil screaming and cursing furry rodents. Aaaah!! Aint memories good??
